"There are 3 non-camping places to stay in Sossusvlei, Desert Camp, Desert Quiver and the Sossusvlei Lodge. They are all owned by the same company. All meals are taken at the Sossusvlei Lodge 2-3 kms down the road. There is no internet at Desert Quiver. There is a nice swimming pool but one needs to drive to it. The rooms are very nice, however. "Ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt mit vielen frei herumlaufenden Tieren! Die Unterkunft war schön, geräumig, sauber und bestens ausgestattet. Wir hatten vorab einen Picknickkorb bestellt und auf der Veranda gegrillt. Obwohl es leicht regnete, haben wir draußen unter einer Decke gesessen, Wein genossen und den Tieren zugesehen. Einfach traumhaft!"

"It was a very restful stop and easy access to the southern tip of Africa!! It was a bit tight for four of us and bathroom was not very private. But for a small accommodation it was very adequate!! We enjoyed our stay and appreciated Nadine’s helpfulness and tourist advice!! "

"The term Luxury cottage is an insult. The pictures are very misleading.This place is so run down. The staff you can tell is trying hard but obviously the owner cares nothing about customer service or being honest. Our "Luxury cottage" had no microwave, no satellite TV and the kitchen and living room were exposed to heat as there are no windows only loose screening that let lots of bugs in. The couch and beds sit on concrete reminiscent of city jail. I realize this property is in the tropics but...
