While the hotel is a short 15-minute walk from the train station, we arrived late at night and were advised to advance book a taxi to ensure we had transportation to the hotel. "Nice townhouse about 15 min walk from the centre of Angouleme. Friendly, attentive owner with plenty advice on places to eat. Tastefully furnished. Comfortable bed and private bathroom. Nice continental breakfast. Parking free on street outside the property. "

"Great hotel located bang slap in the middle of town. Good parking on site (€14). Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel clean and comfortable. V good breakfast. Meal in the restaurant Bistro Bardy was ok. (Many thanks to the staff for retrieving our passports which we later discovered we had left in the hotel safe!) "

"Lovely, quirky hotel right in the middle of the city so very convenient for everything. The receptionists were excellent, so bright and helpful. Particularly helped with the parking as it’s quite tricky when the small car park is busy. The rooms were interesting - each seems to have an individual theme with different colours and attractive vintage furniture. Very comfortable with lovely linen bedding. "I am writing this review on behalf of my daughter. We originally booked it for one night only, but due to changing family circumstances she had to add another night. She doesn't speak French, so she was very impressed with the staff ability to communicate with her and help her with all her needs. Customer service is what made this property to stand out. "Perfectly located to stay for an early train departure for CDG. 12 minute easy walk to Centre of Angoulême for large variety of restaurants. The area is not very desirable but it is opposite the train station $ that was the objective. Very clean room but unfortunately no fridge or tea/coffee facility in room."
