"Friendly staff, great food and lovely views!"

"I received a free upgrade to one of the Lodges so don't actually know about Davy Cottage. However, the lodge called Owls Nest was lovely. Spacious, well equipped, clean and really comfortable. The view was great. Parking was directly outside. The road is rather pot-holed (not unlike the rest of the country!) and I didn't like the black towels which left lint all over me, but that is really me being finicky! "We had a lovely overnight stay at this inn. The room was great , very clean , quality fixtures and fittings. Bed very comfortable, quality bed linens. Spacious ensuite , plenty of hot water with good water pressure in the shower. Showe gel , shampoo and towels all provided. We had a lovely meal in the evening , 3 course special menu was great value. Great breakfast provided in the morning. Team at the inn were friendly and welcoming. Full of character "

"A lovely place to stay. From the minute we walked in wa we was made to feel welcome. The room was very clean and had a very comfortable king-size bed a a fabulous walkin shower. The food was amazing and the home made crumpets are out of this world. "

"The picture advertised was not what was offered. The cleanliness was shocking, stains on duvets, towels, bed sheets and pillows - think bad and disgusting and you aren’t even close. Had 3 nights booked, left on day one. Poor health and safety with cables trailing across floors, screws in the carpet and a lighter found under a bed (I was with 4 kids, shocking). Now. "We booked a family suite which is lovely - very modern and tastefully decorated. A lovely tea/coffee area and bottles of water weee supplied. Both bedrooms have patio doors opening out onto outside area. The views are amazing and it is just so peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was amazing - THE BEST bacon!! Would highly recommend this place - ideal for walkers. "
