"The hotel is set in an ancient dwelling built around a courtyard. While our room retained its original ancient nature, it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom, on the other hand, was modern and there was no lacking hot water. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a quiet side street in the middle of the ancient city just off of the major pedestrian street of Remin Road with its many eateries, shops and bars. "Super helpful hosts with very good English. Shared excellent recommendations for visiting zhangjiajie, Tianmenshan, and local food options. Even helped me get a car when my didi wouldn’t work! Cute night market outside and not far from train station and cable cars. Note the google maps location is wrong, it’s on the other side of the river, more north. Airport pickup was super helpful. Highly recommend. "
