"We stayed near end of season, atmosphere in the resort was rather tranquil, which we liked. Apartments and public areas are a little worn, but spacey and well-equipped. We even got an upgrade to a suite with a third bedroom (which we did not need as a family of 3, but overall we enjoyed the extra space). For wifi in the room we needed to rent a router, but the price of 1 Euro per day is moderate and quality was perfect. Access to the (public) beach is by a 1500m walk, but there is a small train...

"Excellent hotel great location in a great town, portuguese food is fantastic, we did b b and it was very good lots of options and great service. Park at the car park next to the garage its free! Plenty of really good cafes and restaurants. Close to the ferry for the beach"

"Stayed here last summer in a superior room, really impressed. Had to make do with just a river view room this time which I thought would be ok. It was in need of some TLC! Nothing major but for the sake of a few hours work and a lick of paint it would have been fine. The hotel itself is lovely and you can’t fault the breakfast. Would stay again but only in one of the superior rooms"

"We enjoyed everything about our stay, especially the friendliness of all the staff. With no exception they were professional, eager to help and always smiling. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide choice of hot and cold choices and drinks. The location is perfect for visiting the attractions of this characterful little town. We would return."

"En general correcto, ya que los muebles de cocina esta no estan muy en condiciones. Tuve un problema de cucarachas, concretamente dos que me hicieron tirar todo aquello que tenia abierto. "Everything was great and the staff was awesome. The only negatives were the kitchen was too dark, the fireplace smoke odor was overpowering and strong, and the front door and car were always full of pidgeon poop. Trimming the trees should solve the pidgeon poop issue. We didn’t know the WiFi router had to be rented and there were none available for the first week. All the shortcomings were made up by the great staff."
