My quam is not only with the property, but also with Expedia. My family and I was in town for a baseball tournament. This hotel came recommended as one of the closet to the fields.Once we knew the hotels, we quickly booked this one and paid for our room as paying later wasn't an option. Upon arrival, we noticed a few of our other team parents having issues with their reservations. All seemingly the same issue, but different because of payment methods and vendor.
So I get to the counter give the representative my name and she proceeds to tell me that she sees my reservation in the system, paid for, but the credit card provided to her by Expedia is declining. I moved out of line, thinking ok, this must be a joke trying to call Expedia and no numbers worked. I logged in on my phone and began a chat with someone that tried to assist, but quickly transferred the conversation to someone else to handle.
There was wholesome conversation between the Expedia rep and myself as in all the years I have been using Expedia, I have never had an issue. So I knew that it would be resolved- all until he asked if I want him to refund the money to my card and I pay at the hotel? At that point, I had had enough. There was no way, I would let him do that knowing we had families that had paid for their rooms through the hotels website, paid, had confirmations and was told they didn't have a reservation. It took them an hour plus to sort this reservations out.
