"The Lodge at Jaguar Reef is in a fantastic location, and the facilities are generally quite good. We have stayed at the lodge four times, each in a different room, and have found the accommodations to be fairly consistent. During this visit, however, we encountered some maintenance issues. The plunge pool in our room was not functioning, several lights throughout the room were not working, and there was some flooding due to the rain. "The hotel itself was lovely. We found that the restaurant listed in the booking was actually only for breakfast and was closed the day we came. There is major construction going on nearby. The staff however made the stay worth it. They were able to hired a taxi for us and made recommendation where to eat. Please be aware that there are at least 2 flights of stairs that you will need to climb."

"Lovely and spacious resort. A bit of a walk to town, but you can go all the way up the beach, use the free bicycles, or take a taxi into town for about $10 USD. Loved the free kayaking option. Restaurant was great, a bit on the pricey side, but there are a few other options nearby like Hidden Treasure. Overall very happy with our stay here, felt like paradise with the warm breeze swaying the palms. "

"The lodge was really nice with lots of atmosphere and lush gardens. The best was a view of waterfalls from our cabana and you could hear them too. Very soothing. Also, could take a small funicular down to beach area where you could swim amongst the waterfalls. The lodge would even bring you lunch and drinks. The staff and tour guides were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The food was excellent too! Highly recommend! Very satisfied!"
