"Azura was a beautiful and peaceful resort with a great beach and wonderfully friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation there and would recommend it to others. That said, the resort as a whole was short-staffed, which resulted in some longer wait times for food and drinks - not a deal breaker, just room for improvement. Also, given Costa Rica is known for its coffee, the coffee at the resort was subpar. Again, just room for improvement, but still a wonderful experience. "

"The website was completely misleading, but after accepting what they actually had to offer it is a nice resort and we had a great time. The website said the rooms would have sofas, they did not, and it said that there are 2 restaurants, there was 1 and it was buffet only. On multiple days housekeeping left us short on towels. That aside, the food was good, the rooms were clean and the air conditioner worked well to keep our room cool and dry, the pool was clean, the staff were wonderful...

"Pros We had an excellent stay at the Gilded Iguana. Staff were very helpful and helped us book surf lessons and board rentals as well as a turtle hatching tour at Ostinal. Our room was really nice and clean and all the facilities were beautiful. The restaurant was great and had good food and drinks. The breakfast was more than what you would expect for an inclusive breakfast. I will say there was not a lot of vegan options for breakfast but I was able to easily make changes with the serving...

"This is a one of a kind hotel, that is landscaped and attended to in an impeccable fashion. The food choices and quality were amazing—numerous GF etc options that were clearly labelled. Truly one of the best resorts we have ever stayed at and I highly recommend it. Only minor gripes are that there are add on costs for a # of the yoga classes. Also it is a VERY hilly property so be prepared."

"Esh is a beautiful brand new luxury property. I only stayed for one night but the staff and amenities were amazing. The rooms are brand new and modern--has a very Tulum type vibe. The onsite restaurant was amazing. The owners were extremely gracious and helpful with anything I needed. Only downside is you do need a car as it is not in a walkable area. However apart from that Esh is really beautiful and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful luxury stay."
