"The people were very friendly and the staff were good, but the hotel is very noisy with the music every night until 11pm"

"I loved this unique hotel, it was a tick off the bucket to stay in the rainforest! The staff are so friendly and the food is excellent and great value for money. It is very easy to get to the animal centres and I was still able to access the internet so could order grab taxis. I’d definitely recommend bringing bug spray! 100% would recommend, where else can you stay in the rainforest?!"

"Pretty nice hotel with very friendly staff. Breakfast is great! Outside noise is the only big complaint."

"The accommodation and food was nice, we were let down by the tours and communication. The night walk was disappointing as we walked very close to our accommodation, so was not really the jungle walk we were expecting. However the river cruises were good, apart from being let down by our boat breaking down within the first 10 minutes of our tour and being stuck in the water for over 20 minutes. This time was just taken from our tour time therefore we had a shorter river cruise than other groups...

"For the area of Sandakan that this hotel is in this is a pretty good option if you really have to stay here! I would not recommend the area at all. The staff here were very attentive and friendly. The room was adequate but the pillows were horrendous! Just lumpy lumps of hard sponge! The shower and sink use a pump system which was not smooth at all and you either had a ‘power’ shower or a trickle. "The staff was very nice but it's in an inconvenient area, the room had a lot of bugs and the amenities like the WiFi, AC and refrigerator did not work very well"

"The most amazing stay. The kitchen excelled with all our food allergies and nothing was too much trouble for them. We saw wild Orangutans near the lodge. Only 4 rooms, so quiet and less mosquitoes than those places on the river. I loved my stay and highly recommend to others."
