"This is our forth stay at the Stones, nice hotel, staff are very friendly, bar area is comfortable. I do wonder why when most people share a room they only put one chair in them ? Also a few polite notices in the hall ways to remind other guests to be quiet when walking past the rooms ? That said we would recommend this hotel."

"There is parking behind the waitrose and staff walked us there after their shift had ended to ensure we understood the parking App since tomorrow is the Farmers Market on High Street and we would have to move the vehicle early. "The staff was very friendly but I have to admit the internet even at times when I could connect was so weak, I couldn’t even access my emails. The shower has a power saver machine on it but the problem is the hot water cycles from cold to warm to scalding and around and around so you constantly have to dip under and out. I can’t say the stay was worth the price."

"I stayed in room #4 - on the top floor. It's quite quirky, but very charming. Everything was clean and tidy and excellent facilities. Be warned that it is a very old building with a slanted roof and slanting floors, but this is part of the appeal. The breakfast supplied in the room was excellent; high quality and lots of choice. "The property is beautifully designed. It is compact but well planned out and very tasteful. Everything you need is there. The breakfast basket is delightful! The cottage is attractive and in a lovely location. It is so easy to just walk across the road for dinner. We loved it!!"
