"The staff, in particular, the receptionists including the charming Lithuanian girl, were so helpful and informative.
The food was pretty good as well and well presented.
Having had to slum it in a rival establishment a few years’ ago, when there was no room at Poets Corner, it was a relief to note how well looked after we were."

"Our room on the second floor was extremely hot - it was a particularly hot week but we were never able to cool it down despite having the fan on. Having to climb about 40 stairs with suitcases for several days' stay was a challenge. Although the house keeping staff did their best to maintain the room and bathroom they were outdated and the bathroom in particular needs updating. The sofa looks as though it has been picked up from a junk shop

"So pleased we booked an overnight stay here. Every member of staff we met were friendly and helpful. Small room but it had everything that you would need including a safe, aircon (so welcome with the high temperatures), an iron, hairdryer and tea and coffee. The bathroom was great too. Good shower and there were fluffy towels and toiletries. There was an excellent choice at breakfast- a wide selection of cooked breakfasts. "Loved the west facing balcony overlooking the river on our room. Room decor was very contemporary and stylish. Bathroom lovely and spotlessly clean. Staff so friendly."
