"I have never stayed in a hostel before, but this was a great base located centrally in Reykjavik. Lots of great coffee shops, tattoo shops and bars/restaurants nearby. You can get breakfast and coffee at KEX, too, which was convenient for one of the mornings we had to head out early. The bus stops for excursions were also within a 10-minute walk away. Overall, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"I stayed in the mixed dorm as a solo female- no problems at all. The whole check-in process is no contact. Make sure to bring your own towel since the hours are limited to rent one,… the office is closed on the weekends and only open from 9-4 M-F. This was a great location to get picked up for tours. Would absolutely stay there again."

"The staff were fantastic, checking in at two am and being greeted enthusiastically. Everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet was quite good and starting at four am is a bonus for anyone leaving early. I would definitely recommend this hotel/hostel. "
