"While booking a place for a night close to the highway, I failed to notice there’s no reception. You’re supposed to send an ID copy in advance and get a key code. I noticed this only at the door and had to look for a number to call. The guy was helpful though and just recited the code on the phone. The pros of this place are low price (€55 for a single bed) and location at the gate of a quaint little castle town. While there’s no restaurant, there is a decent pizzeria on the shore less than 1km...

Friendly English speaking staff. We were able to upgrade our room to a much larger room. The busy hotel restaurant is the big draw here and we ate breakfast (included buffet) and dinner there 3 times. Many good quality food choices. We spoke to a young professional couple at the table next to us and they come to this hotel...

"Tuesday nights the restaurant and bar was closed. there were refreshments available, but you were not able to sit anywhere communal to enjoy them and speak to people you were travelling with. When asked if we could make use of the garden we were told no as other people may want to sit outside too and the staff didn't want to 'look-after' anyone - despite the refreshments being self-service. The one place you could sit with a friend was in the corridor on a sofa that was blown and...

But very good little bakery just down the lane in front of the hotel. Just be aware that the booking and assess the your room number and pin code is only available via the web page and then wasn't obvious to find, connection on 3g was very slow.
