We reserved a room with a sofa bed. When we pulled it out, it was broken. The mattress had large brown stains on it. Then we tried a second room. The sofa bed had food crumbs and dirty sheets still in it. We tried a third room. The sofa bed was also broken and the mattress had brown stains and appeared well worn. I asked if we could get a refund, because I no longer felt comfortable staying there. The attendant said that only Expedia could issue C s refund. I spent an hour with Expedia’s online chat. Expedia said that the hotel could give a refund, that they couldn’t. The representative from Expedia called the hotel to see if they would give me a refund. The hotel said no. I called the hotel back to find out why I was getting mixed messages from them, and the attendant at the hotel said she would contact her manager in India to see if he would consider a refund and call me back.
