"The hotel location is very convenient. From Varenna train station, it’s about 1 block. Across the street from the Ferry Terminal and the city center is about 5 minute walk from the Ferry terminal. The hotel is not fancy but very comfortable and super clean. The included breakfast was very good. The breakfast and checkin was at the sister hotel about 5 minute walk. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. Our room even had a partial lake view. "

"Overall the hotel is a good choice. It’s very well located and has reasonable prices for the area. Breakfast was only just passable. I had a single room which was quite well set up. The mattress, however, urgently needs replacing as it has a large hollow at hip level from overuse. The bathroom was small but functional. Be aware, though, that the shower is very small and if you are larger than average you probably won’t have a particularly enjoyable shower. "

The hotel is perfectly situated between Lenno and Tremezzo ferry stops and has a pizza takeaway, restaurant and a convenience shop within a 5 min walk- in addition to the on site restaurant and bar. "The hotel is a beautiful property but certainly it’s showing its age as even the room key is truly a room key and not a key card. I guess it’s just the nostalgia of an older hotel. There is also very limited dining in surrounding area but the restaurant in the hotel is great. Due its location, there is little to sometimes no uber or taxi available hence it can be pricey getting a car via the concierge.
