"The Cigno Hotel is a beautiful oasis in central Merida. The room was large, beautifully appointed and well air-conditioned. The food at the restaurant was excellent-modern Mexican cuisine. We felt one of the best part of the experience was the staff. They were friendly, helpful and very gracious. You cannot go wrong staying at this excellent small hotel. We had a very positive experience at Cigno Hotel."

"The hotel was fine in most ways. Mostly clean, well kept etc and with a very comfortable bed. Some odd features such as wooden shutters instead of window, but may well be just unusual for our tastes. Air con worked well and really needed to! Did not feel a true 5-star though. "

"The hotel was beautiful in a very convenient location that was walkable and in the middle of everything. The hotel was impeccable and the staff was top notch from check in to breakfast to valet to turn down service. I love the general open area for sitting. It was wonderful to start off with a hearty breakfast for our adventures of the day!"
