"I received a really warm welcome. The hotel even changed my room so I could have a bath. The pub downstairs has a nice atmosphere. As you have to expect from an old building above a pub, you do get a little noise from the other rooms. Overall, excellent value for money and would stay again. "

"Cold welcome from a blonde lady at reception who asked ‘can I help you’ when I walked in with my walking gear on. Perhaps she thought I was not good enough to stay there but compared to other stays this was unwelcoming! A smile and a welcome wouldn’t go amiss! Other than that The rest of the staff were lovely. The place is pretty and beautifully decorated for Christmas. It’s a lovely hotel. Breakfast was cold & didn’t finish it. Partner disappointed with his breakfast also. "

"We took a spontaneous trip to Malham Cove for a night away. This lovely hotel is down a quiet country road 1/2 a mile from the cove and near to several other pubs and cafes. "A very welcome overnight stop on our way to the Lake District - not too far from the M6 but in a beautiful part of the country. The room was very comfortable and the hotel was charming - a peaceful village location with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. "Lovely people and delicious food. Bar was very friendly. Spacious room (#5) and big and comfortable bed. No internet in bedroom (think it was faulty as it showed a signal) but OK in bar.
