"Staff couldn’t be more attentive in the restaurant. Both evening meal and breakfast were delicious. The sausages were undercooked for my liking but the waiter immediately rectified this. The bathroom was a little tired looking and the shower temperature was erratic. We couldn’t get the TV to work but the staff quickly made some adjustments. Bed was really comfy. Overall a nice stay and I would stay here again."

"What a super hotel. Never stayed in an octagonal room before but it gave the feeling of space. Nicely furnished throughout with plenty of nods to Darwin. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was superb, both for selection of options and friendliness of staff. I haven't had better anywhere (including in a lot of foreign travel!). One small and insignificant point: Our bed/room was adorned with 6 pillows and 10 cushions of varying sizes. Possibly excessive!"

"Stayed here over night at weekend, even though in town wasn’t noisy at night. Enjoyed the food and drink menus (breakfast and lunch) the team were really friendly and helpful, service was good even though they were experiencing some technical problems during our stay. "Check in was 15:00. I arrived at 16:20 and the room was still not ready. I complained to the woman at the bar which serves as the reception, she apologised, asked me if I wanted a drink while I waited and then tried to charge me for it! Not a good start to my stay. However, the room itself was lovely, clean, comfortable, modern and stylish. Extremely good value for the price and literally opposite the train station. Entry to the hotel is via an app you have to download, but it worked well...

"The room was good except that it was very cold, the radiator was turned up high but the room never got warm. The duvet was only Summer weight so we had to use a towel and our coats to try and keep warm. Breakfast was continental and good, but a full English would have been preferred after a cold night!
