Our stay was the first at this hotel and our first visit to Italy. We really didn't know what to expect other than what is posted on their website mixed with the on-line reviews we found. "The hotel is very old and outdated. The bed is the smallest I have ever slept in the entire life. There was a roof leak in the bathroom. No kettle in the room to make tea and the weather was so cold. I went to ask for water to make tea, I was charge €4 for hot water only. The dinner was so o expensive and tasteless. I paid €261 for a night. What a waste. "

"Fantastic hotel in an amazing area! Late afternoon I walked up the hill to the castle and walked by peacocks….yep…peacocks!, vineyards, olive trees and horses. The hotel staff were truly wonderful- everyone was friendly and helpful. The restaraunts was delicious. All of the food is locally sourced and our wine was from a vineyard 5 minutes away. Sad we only had a 1 day stay on our way to Venice. On my list to return to this area and would 100% stay here again."
