"Excellent venue with lots of parking. Very clean and spacious. This was a last minute booking and communication was poor. You don't get access instructions until you pay a waiver that costs either an additional £10 or £25 depending on what you choose. And then you have to chase to get it back. Sounds a bit of a con to me but I had no choice. Overall though the property was excellent, just let down by a poor letting agent in my opinion."

"When we arrived we saw immediately that the sofabed in the lounge was broken and could not be used to sit or sleep on, this was disappointing as it meant there were not enough beds for us all. We contacted the owner and the next day a chap arrived with an airbed. We requested that the sofa be replaced but that did not happen. "Had a lovely stay here and it enabled us to visit family in County Durham who we’ve not seen for a long while great that it is dog friendly too and it has enabled us to take our lovely Bonnie (boarder collie) y try o meet all the family too. Lovely views out the windows, however could really do with some blinds in bathroom and conservatory windows to help with privacy, but other than this minor issue that could be easily sorted we had a wonderful stay here. "

"The property is conveniently situated just off the main road in Barnard castle, it is at the end of a dingy looking alleyway with a very tight driveway. Upon arrival, the decoration looked aesthetically pleasing but we soon realised that most aspects of the house were badly designed/ not practical.The house was not cleaned well before we arrived, we had to empty a bin in one of the bedrooms which was filled with stuff left by the previous occupier, we also tried to vacuum as the floors were...

"All in all nice little cottage for a couple and good as was pet friendly to go up Durham to visit our son up uni and take our dog to see him too. Cottage was nice a little place although i think the tv was slightly too high on wall. As we arrived there were 3 plumbing vans parked outside so had to park out side another cottage for bout hour n half till they moved their vans after going in pub at front of cottages before parking own car then outside our own cottage. "This is a lovely little place with a great pub with really friendly staff and great food. Excellent dog walk on the other side of the road. The room has a fridge microwave kettle and toaster. The owner was a bit stressed about the shower having failed but they had called a plumber and all was fixed with no problems and lots of apologies. Would recommend!!"
