"A great hotel with a wonderful history. It is an old fashion hotel with modern amenities. Lovely views of Mount Fuji and the lake from inside and outside the hotel. The Japanese style breakfast was the best! The staff were fantastic! A very pleasant stay. "

"老舗ホテルだけあり対応は礼儀正しく親切であり、好感がもてるものだった。日本人以外の宿泊客が大半であったがスタッフは問題なくサービスを提供できていた。河口湖駅から車で10分ほど離れている。送迎バスは１時間に1本の運行があり不便ではないが、何か買い物などに行きたいと思っても近くにテイクアウトできる店はない。庭が広くよく手入れがされており、静かな環境で過ごしたい方には向いている。富士山は展望室から眺めることができるが、見えるかどうかは天候しだい。私たちが宿泊した日は残念ながら見ることができなかった。富士山が見えるのは、どこのホテルに宿泊しても天候に左右される。富士ビューホテルであっても常に見られるというものではない。海外の方はその点を理解して利用する必要がある。宿泊そのものは快適でした。"

"I think HAOSTAY is very value for money as the rooms are big (as of Japan standards) and it offers a great view of Fuji from the room window and rooftop. The Japanese or sandwich breakfast options were great. It is a 15 min walk from the train station which is manageable. For transport to the train station, they have fixed vehicle trips at 9am, 9.30am and 10am. It is recommended to book them the night beforehand as there are only spaces for approx 7-9pax.
