"Great location near promenade, river, and main Interlaken streets. Staff was friendly, informative, and let us store our luggage when we arrived early before check in and when we left later after check out. Breakfast was so so for the price, I preferred the coffee shop a minute away. We had the balcony room at the front and had a great view of the mountains in both directions (if the weather is clear). Only downside was a portable AC unit, opening windows was more effective but made it loud, and...

"Great location with a million $ view. The rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly. It was like being in nature and yet close to everything. Lots of good restaurants within 2 minutes and train station 10 minutes. First was just down the street and train was one stop to top of Europe. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Would love to stay again and highly recommend. "

"We were in Austria but the rains closed all the trains. We decided to go to the Interlaken area. Hotel Alpenrose was the only hotel that wasn’t double our budget. It is really more of a cozy bed and breakfast than a hotel. It was a little bit out of the way but the trains are so easy in Switzerland than it wasn’t an issue. The ride back gave us time to get caught on emails and send pictures and texts friends and family. We would stay there again. "

"Close to everything! Convenient to the Falls, WENGEN, GRINDELWALD, MT. SCHILTHORN etc. Friendly, helpful staff especially Linda. Very good breakfast and coffee ! Room was cleaned daily, and towels were changed. Would come back and stay here again !"

"The staff are fantastic and make you feel at home. It is rustic living among the Swiss of Gimmelwald. I love this town, and love the hotel. The bar is fun to chill and meet others from around the world. "

"The views from our room were out of this world. The hotel is very close to useful bus stops as well as one of the main train stations. The buffet style breakfast was good with eggs made to order. The only downside was our shower head kept sliding down. When mentioned to the staff, they said they wouldn't be able to get a plumber out on the weekend. Small/less than stellar showers are quite normal in Europe, so it wasn't a deal-breaker by any means. Would recommend to anyone that can handle...
