"Clean and comfortable room, ample parking, reasonable prices and very friendly staff - all made our stay a good one. Definitely recommended. Breakfast was continental with option for sausage/bacon sandwich which was enough for us. Also having a pub nextdoor is a great benefit, hotel guests don't have to go around looking for restaurants - so convenient."

"Excellent stay from start to finish and both are lovely hosts.It is roughly a 5 minute walk to Coral Island and about 10minutes to the winter gardens and also The grand theatre.The hotel was nice an clean and one key fits all 3 doors.The wi-fi was excellent and I could even stream movies etc without any buffering which is always a big plus.For what you pay you can not really grumble but I know some people do.Buffet breakfast was good and if you need anything you just had to ask.Please Give it a...

"Superb stay. Gorgeous old pub. Rooms were fabulous. We had a family room which was enormous with a lovely comfy bed for us and a sofa bed for the children. Lovely en-suite with the best shower I’ve ever used in a hotel. Dinner and breakfast were great. Breakfast had several options and was cooked to order. Highly recommend. "

"From start to finish staying at friends hotel was a joy. Dot,the owner is wonderful and making your stay a happy one is important to her.our room was well decorated, comfortable and the fridge was a great addition. The bed is so comfy we didn't want to leave it. Breakfast was huge and delicious. Friends hotel is definitely pet friendly and Dot made a huge fuss over our dog Toby who fell in love with her. "A nice room in a house next to the river. Clean, a very modern shower. A shared lounge/kitchen. I was on the 2nd floor with a view of the river. Free parking in front. Local shops and takeaways all seamed to be closed. "

"Had a nice cosy stay for 3nights, for the money tbh was very good overall. Nice bed, room had sink and coffee making facilities..... Heating was on as weathers been cold so was surprised it was warm in the room...... The shower was filled with sand so not so good.... However the toilet was shared and close by. Would have preferred a better view.... Other than the vast amount of rubbish outside. Possibly would stay again but perhaps, the rooms, could be updated as looking quite tired older...

"We have stayed at these apartments many times over the years and have noticed that it seems to have changed hands, which made me more confident to book, as the previous owners charged my debit card twice and it took ages to get a refund! Anyway, back to the present - the apartment is in an ideal location for us and is great because it’s self contained. One (or two) drawbacks this time - no tea and coffee and we could not, no matter what work the smart TV, which was obviously smarter than us!!...
