"Unique to the property was skeleton key to open and lock your room. Was great walkability to the whole town including pubs for dinner, fresh produce stores and pharmacy, not to mention a couple of different off licenses. Would recommend The Blue Haven for dinner - the seafood chowder was the best I've ever had. The bed was pretty firm though so we both woke up sore. "The hotel did not have a lift, so it was difficult for seniors getting luggage up to the rooms. Rooms were clean and of average size. Great view overlooking harbor boat and ship traffic. Reception ladies were very nice and helpful. We found the restaurant to be decent, but slow and overworked staff."

"This was a great option for us because we were in Cork to drop my daughter off at UCC. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was wonderful. Having a full kitchen made eating so much easier and cheaper. Keep in mind that this is a dorm and is not a luxury accommodation. But, I would absolutely do it again."
