"This was a great hotel in the middle of everything in San Jose. The rooms were clean, although the one we stayed in did have a musty smell. The breakfast was great. The staff was top notch. Parking was easy. The area around the hotel was good. This is the middle of a huge city, so there are always big city issues. We would stay at this hotel again."

"Casa Roland has been our go to hotel when we are in San Jose for our dental appointments. The rooms are clean, they have good beds, and we love their breakfast. The staff has always been very friendly and accommodating. "

"This is such a nice budget hotel with a good view from the top. Breakfast is included, and the typical Costa Rica breakfast is an option. You’ll notice wear and tear from the place being an older building, but nearly everything functioned fine. My only complaint is that the electrical outlets didn’t work in my room except for the one with the fridge. My friend’s outlets did. I had a phone-charging battery pack, so it didn’t matter to me. I imagine they’d be accommodating if that were to matter...
