"This hotel was good for its price. Two bad things and a lot of good. Bad things: 1) there is a ZTL at the end of the street right where hotel is sitting (arguably within the ZTL) DO NOT DRIVE ON THIS YOU WILL BE TICKETED LATER BY MAIL. 2) the beds were extremely uncomfortable- they are old spring mattresses and honestly difficult to sleep on without pain. "After booking, I read some worryingly negative reviews. We stayed in a superior room on the 5th Floor with balcony & sea view, which was very pleasant. Reviews concerned cleanliness, lack of WiFi & hot water. We found none of these issues. WiFi was good all over the hotel, shower/sink water always hot & room cleaned daily. "Hotel is about 20miles from the main tourist attractions in Rome. Room was clean, basic setup to sleep and shower, nothing fancy. Staff was VERY nice and accommodating. Breakfast buffet was light. A/C worked fine. Bus to the local train station stops right in front of hotel. To get from Massimino to Rome is about a ten minute bus ride to the hote then about an hour train ride into central Rome."
