"This is a beautiful property with lake Toya on one side and Yoteii mountain on the other. The rooms are the largest we have seen in Japan with a beautiful sitting area and large bathroom with a huge tub both overlooking Lake Toya! This made for excellent firework viewing from the room for the local festival. They also had a nice common area in the hotel with some tables, coffee, tea and hot water to use. The location was convenient to drive to Toyaka Onsen town for food, but also to Rusutsu...

"The hotel is more than nice for the price, you get more, I think is more designed for local nationals that arrive in their cars, you can rent but if you dont split the car rental fare between several people then it would be the same to stay at a ski in ski out, the hotel have shuttles to the mountain, but you have to know their location and pick up spots. The host offered to let us wait in the lobby for a taxi, and when he found that we could not get one as it was late at night, he offered to drive us to the nearest 7-eleven, in his personal vehicle, after hours.
