"The location and views are spectacular but the owner is a bit of a tyrant. No pool towels provided so you have to take your bath towel to the pool. Ours got dirty from the chairs and we could not get clean towels after 6pm because “ they were locked up for the night”. We requested ice in our bucket to keep the bottle of wine chill and the owner told us “no, you don’t need ice”. "

"We have just returned from a stay in the apartment and it totally exceeded my expectations! It was huge! It was comfortable, clean and the reception staff were lovely and very helpful. Outside the hotel there are plenty of restaurants to choose from, we tried most of them and the food was excellent. The hotel is conveniently located opposite the main train station and alibus (airport bus) stop. We bought the city sightseeing tour from the touts outside the hotel and there is a pick up just over...

"Great hotel. Pictures do not do it justice. We were pleasantly surprised in how nice this hotel is. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooms were super cute and clean. I loved the boutique feel of the hotel. Had wine on the rooftop with a beautiful sea view. Had an amazing dinner at the on site restaurant where restaurant staff were so attentive providing amazing table side service. Location is everything, and Il Faro has it. Located right in front of the port and easy access to ferries,...

"The listing on Expedia mentioned “Parking available” - there is none. We wasted an hour trying to find the one indicated by the reception, but our GPS brought us to a tunnel quite far from the hotel. We gave up and found parking near the hotel but it wasn’t cheap! "
