"We stayed in self catering house just few yards from the hotel. The house had everything we needed, was very clean and comfortable too. We ate in hotel on first night. Food was excellent. Hotel is very well decorated and clean. Staff were helpful, especially Marian and Kylie. Didn’t use the spa nor the sauna (which you have to pay extra for). The sauna is by the small private beach. Definitely would highly recommend this place."

"Being able to return from a day on the windswept rainy coast to a warm fire and a glass of wine and being able to sit in the early morning in the cactus filled sun lounge looking out at the water made this a magical and welcoming place to stay."

"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Abbeyglen Castle Hotel. We were warmly greeted at reception by the owner, who provided us with champagne in the evening along with fascinating insights into the castle's history. "My mom and our two dogs stayed at Lough Inagh Lodge for two nights and had a beautiful time. It’s an extremely well-run and comfortable lodge. Great location. One morning we walked down to the lough in the early light to take in the view and that was glorious. The restaurant and bar offered great food options so we didn’t have to be on the roads at night. And the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Mobile coverage is quite spotty but that was perfect for us (and their wifi worked great)....

"Enjoyed the location very much, easy 15 minute walk into Westport. Our room was clean and stocked with coffee and tea. Patrice provided us some excellent dining suggestions. Our only issue is the plumbing in the bathroom. The toilet was tricky, the hot and cold taps on the sink were reversed and the shower was slow draining. Having said that we would stay again with the understanding that we did not book a 4 star B&B, nor did we pay the price for one. Overall good value for the money."

"The lodge is quiet!!! Our room was immaculate, the bed was very comfortable and the view of the lake from our room and the lounge was wonderful. Many thanks to our hosts, Connie and Donal, who were amazing. Breakfast was the perfect start to exploring the area. We spent time on the Aran Islands and in the fishing mecca of Oughterard. Donal and Connie know the area well and offered spot on advice and insights. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Connie and Donal!!!"
