I'd recommend staying here only if you're looking for stillness and tranquility as it's a very off the beaten path location that's at least 20 mins from the city centre of Essaouira which is very charming but quiet too."

"We enjoyed 3 nights at this beautiful riad, they were so welcoming and kind. We had a light dinner the first night as we were tired from our drive. They were happy to accommodate us and the food was delicious. We had the panoramic room that had a lot of stairs to get to it but the views and privacy were great. "I stayed at Casa Lila for a week and had a wonderful time. I loved my room. Very nice breakfast (delicious fresh orange juice). Very nice terrasses. Great location. The staff is lovely and very helpful. I visited the in-house spa and hammam twice. It's not cheap but it was wonderful. I recommend whole heartedly this place and would visit again. "At my arrival I did smell some fresh paint, when I told the front desk about it in friendly way, I was told there is no smell, and you’re not supposed to smell it in a sarcastic way. What a great start at the front desk. Then the guy behind the desk gave the room keys to the bellman I followed him, the room was not ready. I went for a walk for few minutes without even a word. The checkout was great, very professional and with a smile. "

"Our room had a leaking ceiling, a few drops of water every minute and we were woken up at 6:30 by the kitchen upstairs, but got a new room the next day, staff very friedly. Honestly should add some option to get inside at night - had to knock on the window, but all good in general. The roof adds a lot to the experience, would choose the riad just because of that"

"Loved this Riad, I would only suggest that the breakfast is the weakness, jam and bread is not a continental breakfast, no eggs, cheese, or meats, This is the only negative on the service. The roof terrace was also disappointing and well below expectation. So in summation, the riad is beautiful, and my message to te RIAD is - my room was great and your staff are great, but you need to improve the quality of your breakfast, and put some thought into landscalping and updating your roof terrace.
