"Love this hotel, the Rooms are the biggest in Liverpool, the beds are comfortable but I always take my own pillows when travelling. At the base of the toilet there was some staining but, other than that, the room was clean. The restaurant food was nice but I’ve had better steaks. The staff in the bar/lounge area are not very attentive and each time I have used that area I have needed to go to the bar to place orders for food and drink despite there being ample staff and very few customers. "Despite that the hotel is in the middle of some alterations, it was clean, efficient and friendly. It is also convenient for the city centre attractions. I was less impressed by the adjacent Masons bar/restaurant, where service was indifferent and food served tepid."

"Very clean and the staff are very friendly. Was not happy with the evening meal. Caesar salad was all lettuce and a tiny bit of cheese and the Club sandwich I had was not very nice, as a thick chicken fillet made it very awkward to eat. The chips were very greasy. I didn't want to complain to the staff, because I didn't want to ruin the occasion. The waitress was very friendly, though, and always asked if everything was ok. "
