"Lovely hotel. Amoy has mistakenly been described as "quirky", which usually means having some offbeat theme to distract from the scruffiness: none of that here. "Boutique" is more accurate: unshowy, clean and comfortable, with a discrete charm and in a pleasant area. If you like walking to get the "vibe" of this wonderful city, Amoy is better placed than the expense account hotels, between Gardens on the Bay, China Town, Raffles (if you must), Clarke Quay and (close by) Lau Pa Sat. "Really good places to stay but a little bit grubby and beds weren’t the best. The locking pods though is a game changer and makes you feel safer."

Having a bit more space for sorting out your stuff would be great but I think that's just the nature of the type of hotel. Very easy to find and get to, fantastic bathroom facilities and communal area for coffee and water. Great views from the balcony too"

"A lovely inexpensive place to stay, located in the city center. Within a five minute walk from Raffles Place metro, and next to Boat Quay. It's on a busy street full (and I mean full) of bars and restaurants. But this will not impact your stay, as noise is minimal. Very friendly and helpful satff.
