"The beautiful, old, stately property is very grand. But the bathrooms are in severe need of an upgrade. Screws in the walls where robe hooks used to be, not a shelf or tub rim to place shower products, any other amenity such as irons, need to be called down to be brought up. The bellhop and front door staff were scarce or non-existent. "

"We’d never been to capri before. We fretted about the hotel choices. Visited them all - we made the right choice. Town is still full of day trippers … couldn’t stand it albeit less than in prime summer months. Our hotel was perfect. Best views ; best pool, quiet. Food was very good. Would stay here over all we saw. Certainly would stay here over the capri palace which is down the road. "

"The hotel is a short walk to downtown Sorrento before enjoying all the shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is very clean, attentive staff, and the amenities are very good. "The views from the Alice room were beautiful, overlooking the water from the south of Ravello. The walk to the main Ravello piazza was only 5 minutes away. Very convenient. The room itself seemed a bit shabby - the bathroom fixtures were loose (the sink faucet would sink down by itself after lifting it up), and there was barely any sink space to place toiletries.
