"We stayed in the island lodge. The lodge itself is very nice, only downpoint of the actual lodge is lack of storage space in the kitchen. My biggest complaints about this place were 1. When making the booking it NEVER mentioned that the only way to access your lodge is via a small rowing boat. I kid you not. "My room was on the top floor and I had a number of heavy suitcases, so carrying them up was quite exhausting after a long flight and ride from Schiphol. In late August, the room was very warm as it had a glass door on one side and three large windows/doors on the other. So sun most of the day. "Very convenient location next to Almere Centraal railway station. There are good shopping possibilities in the opposite side of the station. The hotel staff was very friendly. The breakfast was not included in the rate but it was priced reasonably, so we paid for it couple of days. The room was very spacious with two beds big enough for two people. The beds were comfortable, pillows maybe not so. In Dutch style the room was a bit cold but the blanket warm. Room day cleaning was by request only. "
