"Only 5-star reviews of this property; the check- in was fine and quick, although it was off-site (just nav/map it). The building next door is vacant and sketchy but it is not - the area is being redeveloped. Dining options are somewhat scant under a 10- 15 minute walk, but there are many just beyond that. Parking is free in front of the building and available when we were there, but not sure if there are spaces in the summer, as there is a beach access and club there. "

"Liked the proximity to town and the proximity to the famous beach walks - Dona Ana, Ponte da Piedad, Praia do Camilo. Hotel had excellent breakfast but not much seemed available beyond that - maybe off season and very few people here. Sure it would be a very busy place in the summer. Pools arre wonderul and the setting also."

"The location is lovely - very quiet and peaceful in early April. The accommodation was in very good condition and comfortable. Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. We arrived well before check in time and although the house wasn't ready yet, we were told we could use the facilities (pool, etc.) The accommodation we had (sea view) happened to be right at the bottom of the complex nearest the village, which was perfect for us as we mainly wanted to go to the restaurants, etc. and...

"Great location close to everything. I only stayed one night but enjoyed the stay. The apartment was quiet, spacious and comfortable, the kitchen was a bit basic with no other amenities than a kettle and some cups. The restaurant was great with lovely food and very nice staff. "Staff friendly and rooms very clean. Have stayed in Praia da Rocha several times before but never at Flor da Rocha. Only disadvantages, staying in late March the balcony always seemed to be in the shade. At no point, even on the sunny warmer days was it ever a sun trap. Think this is due to the other buildings close by and the shape of the building itself. Other disadvantage, which isn't the apartments fault are some of the other guests. Sound proofing between apartments isn't great...

"From our experience, NH holds every nickel a prisoner when it comes to the upgrading and maintenance of its rooms. Spacious but Spartan. The entrance door was jammed so that it took a full FBI style crosscheck to get it open every time. The sliding glass door didn't actually lock, fortunately as we forgot the keys inside once. While other accommodations offered free port and various other welcome gifts, we were met with fee-based everything in the room. Having to 'consider' a twenty Euro penalty...

"Stayed in a fantastic 2 bedroom all redone inside. The one bed next door was not and was a 3 star room. The 2 bed was a five. Huge balcony overlooking the sea. If I knew beforehand would have booked at least a week. The 2 bed you could stay for a month or two. Great area to walk/get around. Tapas around the corner was incredible. "

"Modern sleek hotel in a nature park with great walking and views of the Atlantic in the far distance. Very private and great place to relax. We did not use spa or gym. A few concerns: Road in is rough in places. Lots of small things needed work - doors not sliding closed properly, hot water not there, random alarms. Biggest disappointment was the so-called gourmet dining room with over-priced skimpy meals. Breakfast were excellent though. "

"Awesome with large rooms with kitchenettes, and powerful hot showers. Very clean. Desk staff not so friendly & we had to wait on our riom but other staff great. There is a pool but it was raining when we were there, so we did not use. Fantastic breakfast with breads, fruit, oatmeal, eggs, corn flakes, meats, cheese, yogurt, & coffee or tea. You certainly did not leave hungry. Great location next to a hige supermarket and a short walk to many restaurants. "
