The entrance was extremely dark upon arrival. We arrived late, 11:30 pm and we felt unsafe leaving our car in the darkness and entering a dark foyer and lobby. Very uninviting and depressing. Gentelman behind the counter was unfriendly and uninviting. Made me uncomfortable.

I’m sorry to write this but the truth must be told. My brother and I checked in at the hotel and upon arriving at the hotel entrance, we got hit with a terrible sewage smell. We immediately asked where the smell was coming from and we were told that it was from the drainage and that the city of Amarillo had been notified about it. The lady who checked us in said that we wont smell it once we’re in our rooms but that wasn’t true when we went in our room. You could still smell it. The room was alright but had an old carpet torn carpet, old lamps and everything else was old. Anyway, we ended up checking out were told that we would get our full refund. The website makes the hotel and the rooms appear all new and clean but that’s not the reality.

Major sewage issue smell in the lobby that went through out the building. The staff was great, and the hotel was clean overall, the but smell was over powering. The Lysol spray didn’t cover up the smell.

They were very “dog friendly” and very flexible re: giving us a first floor room and allowing us to walk our bikes into our room to keep them safe. Because of this, we decided to make reservations here again on our way back home. The 2 women at the desk were very helpful and friendly.

The property seems to have gone downhill since we last stayed 4 years ago. Pool and hot tub were out of order & no notice of this until we arrived. Phone is room was broken. Lots of water damaged carpet and ceiling & strong septic like odor in lobby and hallways.

Conveniently located in the same parking lot as Outback Steakhouse. We had a difficult time checking in which was all on Expedia’s end. Jennifer, at the front desk was helpful and a delight to work with. Room and amenities were good.

We liked it because it is next door to our favorite restaurant and convenient to the highway. But this time when we checked in, there had been a recent flood in the area unknown to us and the city sewer runs right under the hotel, also unknown to us, and was giving off a "gassy" smell as a result of the recent flood.

Clean is all i ask for and this was not clean. The mirrors were smeared with no idea. White stuff on the nightstand. Leftover tinsel on bathroom floor. The refrigerater was gross and had stuff spillled on the bottom. The breakfast unfortunately was not looking the best. Its outdated, but i dont mind outdated but i do mind unclean and this is not my first pick again.

Not the best Sleep Inn experience
Staff was nice and friendly, however the condition and quality of the hotel was rundown and needed work. Pool was not in operation and room beat up and not very clean.
