Perfectly located in Astoria town. Very nice food and bar options a stones throw away. The staff were very friendly upon check in and check out. The common area lobby was nicely decorated. You could definitely chill there and they have free hot chocolate available. Highly recommend!

The staff went over and above to make the property really cool. A fireplace in the common area with an assortment of records you could listen to in your room, complimentary hot chocolate and coffee each morning in the common area, bath robes to wear to the shower room, and a kitchen stocked with what you might need to make yourself some breakfast, along with a fridge for you to store your leftovers from supper out. We also appreciated the little fan in our room.

Wonderful spot, walking distance to everything in Astoria. Pretty easy to find a parking spot nearby without a time limit. Hotel with shared showers and bathrooms, all of which were very clean. Entrance requires climbing a flight of stairs. You can borrow a record player for your room, and there is a vinyl library to browse as well.

This is an older building right across from the back of Ft. George Brewery, about a block from the Liberty Theater where we attended a concert. Very comfortable bed. great coffee at front desk in the morning. Nice kitchen available for guest use. Downtown noise through open windows, but earplugs provided. Staff were helpful in providing access to paid parking a block away which is not usuually available to Norblad guests (this was not spelled out on website). Stairs required to access hotel, which was described on website (no elevator). Defintely a hipster vibe, good if you like and expect lots of walking.

Norblad was unique but not the kind of unique we are accustomed to. We are accustomed to free easy parking- elevators when more than 1 floor- TV in room- A/C- Privacy. Working through 3rd party we were not prepared for the realities of the 'boutique' experience. The rooms were clean granted! Details need to be spelled out in a precise manner rather than being glossed over as part of the 'unique' experience.

What a cool place!!! We loved the unique building and creative decor. Very comfortable room with nice view. The bathroom was beautiful and spacious. The bedding and mattress were lovely. Love staying at a place filled with such charm and character, and being able to walk out the door to experience the charms of Astoria.

I felt safe even though I was traveling solo. I had a room with a ceiling fan, which was helpful since it doesn't have an AC. Not all rooms have it, and smaller room I stayed before was warm when it hit 80s. Would've been better if all windows had screen, but bugs weren't problem. Great location. Walking distance to breweries and waterfront. Well stocked DIY kitchen was nice.

Super cute hotel with something of of a boutique hostel vibe. Centrally located to pretty much everything you might want to see in town. Staff was nice and got me checked in early even. If you don't mind using a private, communal bathroom and shower, you'll love it.

For a "hostile" type property, this place was pretty good. Only issue is the rooms have no AC but thankfully we are on the coast so it is rare to have a warm night. The provided fans in each room suffice to move the air around. The communal shower and toilets were just fine. Most importantly, they were both CLEAN!
