It's about 5-10 minutes outside of "downtown" Asuncion, but as you'll find, there really isn't much in "downtown" Asuncion. Instead the area around Arthaus is a more upscale area with private homes, and walking distance to two major shopping areas, restaurants, and higher end spots. "The hotel staff and owner were very nice, accommodating and friendly. The hotel itself could do with some renovations, as there is a musky/damp feeling at all times in the room and hotel. You can hear everything in the hall and the lobby area - even though I was on the 2nd floor. The breakfast could also be improved and alternatives provided. When staying so many days, you want a bit more. The location is good as there are food options but if you are traveling for work and want to eat...
