We had a breakdown so we need a hotel room. We went to a few places and they were not very nice at all. We stopped at Wingate and it was clean and the front desk agent was very nice. The room and linens were clean which should be expected but not always the case. There are several restaurants in walking distance and they do provide breakfast offerings of scrambled aggs, potatoes and a meat plus bagels, toast, cereal etc. I definitely recommend this hotel for humans and dogs as this hotel is pet friendly.

Room furniture needs to be updated. Rooms have old sofas and chairs at least 40 years old. Some have stains and worn cushions. Housekeeping is not a daily thing. They turn sheets and towels ONLY if you ask them to. Every Thursday and Sunday evening is a Bike night at the restaurant down the road. Hotel windows are not very noise efficient and it gets really noisy on Thursday nights with all the motorcycles going back and forth all night. Breakfast and breakfast staff was OUTSTANDING.

Spacious one bedroom suite with frig and microwave. Room was quiet with separate living room area. Walked to restaurant for happy hour/dinner. Brewery was closed on Mondays but would have hit there too. Dated hotel but the room has the newer non carpet flooring so seem like working on updates. Didn’t use pool but was open. Included breakfast was decent.

This property was not up to your ratings. We arrived and there was dirt & debris swept out of the room in front of the hall floor. Stairs (which we had to use even though I walk with a walker because the elevator wasn't working) were totally filthy with horrible carpet runner. None of the lights were plugged in, the bedside table was sticky with some liquid under the clock, items like special hangers & a large plastic garment bag were in the closet & between the chair & couch. It was hard to believe anyone had cleaned the room. We were told by staff that it was last cleaned on 6/12/24 and we checked in on 6/14/24. We had reservations for 4 nights, but had to leave after only 2 nights when the elevator quit working. It was unsafe for me and my walker. It was a horrible experience.

This was a pretty standard experience. The edges of the floor in the bathroom were not clean. It seemed everything was just swept to those areas. We used the iron, but it was falling apart and we had to ask for another one. The refrigerator was not working properly. The wallpaper was peeling in the halls. The staff was friendly and accommodating when I requested something. They allowed pets, which was important as we had our dog with us.

Our bedroom area was very clean, as was the bathroom. The only reason I didn't give this a 5-star rating was because 1) the pool wasn't open and 2) our "sitting room" area was very outdated.

I love the breakfast option. The room was clean and what I love most of all is that the bathroom had the soap, conditioner, shampoo & lotion in a dispenser on the wall in the shower and over the bathroom sink. This was amazing and very convenient because the bottles are good sizes and filled so you can never run out. I wish all hotel would have these amenities set up for their guests. The only reason why I didn’t rate all excellent is because the manager delayed in helping me during my check in and was on a personal call while I was on the phone trying to correct my name with the booking site. Although she eventually helped me when she say that I was having difficulties, but she could have been more proactive and professional in her approach.

The room smelled musty. The refrigerator smelled like mold. The floor had not been swept. The floor was also sticky. The TV had terrible resolution. The breakfast options were minimal and quality of food was terrible. Did not expect this hotel to be so bad. Will not stay there again.

Needed slippers or socks to walk in the room because the floor was dirty and had to wipe my feet off before getting into the bed. Employees smoke right next to the door which I did not prefer to have to walk through and they were often loud and slightly unprofessional in conversations being had next to customers. Overall stay was fine but would probably stay elsewhere next time.
