I would not stay at this property again in. The shower was extremely tiny. The bathroom very small. The rooms extremely small. The person in the room next door was smoking in the room, desk staff would not move us. The food was extremely bland. Very mediocre.

Our room was pretty bare bones and there were stains on the wall. The sound-proofing isn’t great so lots of noise from hallway, adjacent rooms, road. The worst though was the Woodshed. The bartender was not friendly, and seemed irritated to have to answer questions. The nachos were terrible. Not a single vegetable, just grey strips of beef. Hardly any cheese and what was there wasn’t melted. No napkins provided and the bartender went from table to table with a large black garbage bag scooping people’s trash into it. Classy. The bartenders in the lobby bar were great. Especially the young man with the curly hair.

Long queues at check in. Around a half hour - 45 minute wait. Hotel messaged in the weeks before arrival to say there would be a delay at check in. Why not have more staff on? At time of booking I made a request for accommodation suitable for a 6 month old baby. At check in we were given a room on the first floor. There are no lifts. There was no offer of help to get to room with pram, suitcases etc. No mention there was no lift so we had to go looking for one then return to reception and skip the queues to request another room. Staff unapologetic, didnt seem to care. We were given a room on the ground floor. It was close to noisy bar. Children playing chap door run on our door late into the evening, waking our baby and young child. Noise from bar and people outside our room smoking. Smell and noise coming into our room. Room had rubbish in it from previous guests and lots of hairs in the bath. Room felt unclean. There was a notice to say room only gets cleaned if you stay 5 nights or more. We had to go to reception to get towels and toilet roll. Breakfast was okay. The coffee was terrible. Overall would not recommend.

Check in is from 3-4pm only. That’s kinda weird. Made for very long line up. Room had only 1 outlet. Our “queen” bed was just two smaller beds pushed together.

A solid but expensive hotel. Twin room was very small, smelled of smoke and had little in the way of room amenities. Service was friendly and the bar areas were nice. Due to the poor room, I would seek alternatives elsewhere when staying in this truly beautiful area.

Disappointed. This hotel was once a great place to stay but now it is run down and operates like a bad holiday camp. Client facing staff were rude. The issues of post Covid difficulties with staff, service, etc are irrelevant to a paying guest. The food at the evening meal buffet was pathetic for the price but you have everyone captive. Even if we wanted to more for better food and service there is no option .

The location was good , the staff were extremely busy but helpful. The rooms are very worn and are in desperate need of modernization. The pillows were flat are pointless . The bathroom was so old fashioned. Unfortunately i won't be staying again .

Nice enough hotel but looking tired
Hotel was fine. It’s looking a bit run down though. Public areas were ok but the bedroom I stayed in with my kids was in really poor condition. Really bad check in system. Even short queues took so long. It seemed to take staff between 5 - 10 minutes to check-in each room. Need to get a better system. Put me off ever having to ask for anything at reception because there was always a long queue. Annoying system having to book to use the pool. Did not know this before booking the hotel. Because of plans we had, meant we only used the pool once in 3 days because we had to book specific times that ended up not working out. Hotels.com or the hotel itself should make that clear in the information. Similarly, it was not clear that all of the other kids activities advertised were at extra cost.

Understaffed and inefficient
The check in queue was queuing out of the door when we arrived. It took us 45 minutes in the queue to check in. There was one person on checkin for at least 20 mins. Then another arrived but it was still painfully slow. It took 10 mins for one couple to checkout! The manager was hiding in the back office not fazed at all by the enormous queue. When we can back down to the lobby an hour later there was still an enormous queue. Saw queues everyday we were there. Seems the manager has normalised queuing in the hotel. It’s not ok to make elderly people stand in line for 45mins plus. Very poor. The breakfast was also understaffed large queue to wait to be seated. All the queuing spoiled out stay. Hotel was pretty tired, bathroom dirty are needing tlc.

When we arrived it was a nightmare to get a parking space. Once we got into the hotel we had to wait in line for 30 minutes to even check in. Got into the room was very out dated was dusty and had crumbs in the drawers, my lamp next to my bed didnt work, there was a brown stain on the duvet, the bunk bed my daughters was sleeping in was very unsafe due to the ladder moving and the top barrier of the top bunk bed moved. The handle on the wall in the bathroom was coming away from the wall and the sink had curly thick hairs in it. When we woke up there was no running water. Would not recommend this hotel and would not be staying here again..

We arrived late to the property due to the delay in coming back from Isle of Skye but the guy in the reception was great, he was with French beard, super helpful. But in the morning the reception lady and the other person were a bit rude and was asking us to vacate immediately at 10 AM even though I said to them we checked in very late at around 3 AM and also with special needs child. But place is okay in general. Other thing is they should keep more shower gels in the bathroom as we have been given one small bath gel tube for 3 people which was not enough.
