We paid extra for a room with a kitchenette which was convenient for keeping our breakfast things, making coffee and keeping our beers cold. There is a grocery store on the same road as the hotel, on the way to the old city. There is also free parking in a lot 2 blocks behind the hotel. It backs onto the castle grounds. "This is a no frills place to stay. That said, the staff are lovely, breakfast is nice and very good value. Our room smelt heavily of cigarettes, so we had to have the balcony doors open all night to clear it. The shower head in the bathroom was broken so it sprayed water at the ceiling and there were dead flies. That said it was functional and ok for what it is. Wouldn’t stop me going there again as a stop over."

"arrived during Holy Week festivities. Road was blocked off and very busy. Parked in a public car park several minutes walk away. Not a problem as only had overnight bags. Friendly & easy check in. Our room overlooked the street so was able to view one of the processions. Food in hotel restaurant looked excellent and was value for money along with the drinks. Great service.Only comment to be made on the room was a tight space between table & bed."

"This property is clearly not at its best during what we discovered only after we arrived as their "off-season." The restaurant was closed, even though we were told it would be open during the weekend. It was difficult to find anything fully open.
