This property was very much as described in the listing. It was clean and extremely spacious. The area surrounding is very quiet and peaceful, and very handy for walks. The house is also a central location for travelling to nearby resorts. The owners were very welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

We have indeed had a great stay! This place was a haven for our family in so many ways. Thanks to Mike and Greta for providing such a fully equipped and comfortable place. Everything was clean, tidy and well organised. Our whole family enjoyed playing scrabble, reading and diving into the DVD collection in the evenings. And I think the pool table was one of our favourite pastimes!! They also gave us great advice regarding the beautiful nearby beaches as well as how best to explore the grounds. Upon our departure they were wonderfully kind to our 3 children and gifted them individually. We had a beautiful stay in an absolutely gorgeous manor house with lovely hosts. Farhan and Family

Birthday treat-coming home!
Our extended family returned to Wales after a break of 15yrs- we were bowled over by the amazing house with the spectacular views and grounds. All the grandeur of a 4*hotel with all the comforts of home. A holiday with memories to treasure.

Home Away from Home
A historic country house set in a secluded and peaceful location but within easy reach of Barmouth. The hosts, Mike and Gretta, were friendly, approachable and offered many suggestions regarding things to do locally, as well as places to eat. It felt as though we had known them for years even though we had only just met. The games room was a big hit with our 2 teenaged boys, as well as myself, and it was good to see them playing games that were not on their phones or games consoles. It was their first experience of playing darts and they loved it and we spent many an hour in the games room in the evenings during our short stay. Due to the secluded location, it does get very dark at night, which takes a bit of getting used to, if you are from a town/city like us, and during our visit we heard some strange noises during the night, which Mike and Gretta told us was a barn owl that shelters in a small opening at the top of the house when the weather is bad. We had a lovely 3-night stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in a peaceful and beautiful location with wonderful hosts.

We were visiting Zip World and thought this accommodation was great for us, the nearest beach is about 10 my minutes drive away - so we enjoyed fish & chips on the beach the day we arrived. It ways lovely having space for our teenage children to socialise (as opposed to playing on their phones) in the pool room - note you will need plenty of 50p coins! The accommodation was clean and had everything we needed for our break
