"Basic hotel in good location in Baveno. We asked for a lakeview room and this was good, though the road below the room was v noisy. Closing the windows and using aircon ensured a good sleep. However, the use of aircon was only poss by plugging the unit into a neaby socket - the socket dedicated to the aircon unit was locked off. The manager told us aircon was not available (too early in season!). As I was attending a conference with lots of business meetings and dinners I wanted to iron...
