"The property is situated in a peninsula in Kalutara on a road with almost no traffic, a pleasant surprise in such a busy (and wonderful) city. The beach is lovely, but not swimmable because of strong currents. The room was large and bright. The washroom was clean, and the shower was awesome. "We loved staying at Mihin villa with Mahinda and his family. We were initially booked for 2 nights but extended our stay to 4. Really comfortable room, big bathroom with hot water. The WiFi worked well and there was a fridge in the room which was an added bonus. Fantastic traditional breakfast cooked by Mahinda's wife which we ate in the lovely garden. "I stayed 4 nights and Riverbank Bentota and had a wonderful experience there. Although the hotel is slightly difficult to spot from the road, I didn't have trouble finding it. It is a short walk from the Aluthagama train station so great for people who are coming with the train from Colombo.
