Comfortable bed, the room could use a little updating. Clean bathroom. Quiet, peaceful setting with balcony overlooking the river. Breakfast choices were wonderful- quiche, pancakes, oatmeal, eggs, all the typical fare. Delicious!

Wonderful kind staff at check in. Kitchen was closed for dinner for our date (certain days of the week I guess) which we didn’t know—which defeats the point for us as we were only staying the night. So after driving 6 hours to rest for the night, we had to power nap and go drive in to town for food, which was a bummer. The house feels like you’re staying at a relatives place which is cozy. There is a lot of semi truck noise on the main road, and we are from NYC, so for me to say it was loud was kind of surprising. Overall, it was fine for the night but not our vibe. Appreciate the pet friendly atmosphere! They do offer breakfast from 730-930am, however it is a sit down and order breakfast which we were not able to enjoy because we had a time constraint to get back on the road and would have loved to just grab and go, but we thought that was a cute touch they offer. Does not feel like a hotel at all-feels again like an ole relatives place. :)

The room we stayed in for the night served our needs for a nights stay. It was clean and comfortable.The property otherwise, and the exterior is a bit rundown and shabby. The curtains don't cover the entire sliding door to the porch. The screen door has holes. Way too much exterior lighting. The breakfast served was delicious and ample.

The most special part of Wayside Inn was the babbling river flowing very close to the back of the Inn. We loved rocking on our private deck while enjoying the beautiful scenery and the delightful sound of the water rushing over the rocks! We enjoyed listening to it as we went to sleep also! We also enjoyed eating breakfast in the dining room overlooking the gardens and river.

Great old house with very friendly staff. A yummy cooked to order breakfast was included. Our large room overlooked the river. My only complaint is the weak wifi. We had to go downstairs to the common area to get any signal.

The property was not as advertised. The property was very dated. There were strong fumes in our room, the air conditioner was a window unit which was very noise and not effective. Not as advertised. The breakfast was nice. The staff was pleasant. The bedding seemed clean.

Lovely place to stay. Takes you back in time a little as well. staff really friendly and helpful. Beautiful view of the river out the back from the restaurant area and we were lucky enough to have a room overlooking it as well. There is a hummingbird feeding station and we saw one feeding early in the morning. Restaurant food really good quality. Recommended.

You could tell it was once nice but it was very tired. Bed was hard. Shower and bathroom needed patching and repair. (grout around bathtub was split and damaged). Breakfast was just ok. Staff were very nice, location by the river was lovely. We were in the annex... Maybe the main Inn was better.

Enjoyed our stay! Sarah the owner was so helpful and super nice, and not to mention a great cook! So hearty and delicious, after tasting breakfast we decided to stay for Dinner and it was just as good. We stayed in the summer but after talking to the owner we can’t wait to head back in the winter hearing that we can get right on a snowmobile trail right from the Inn! Would definitely stay again!

The staff for check-in, restaurant were excellent. The room was just "ok". Perhaps another room would have been better but the one we were in had peeling wallpaper and the lighting was abysmal.
