The first impression of this stay was good until….. we went to our room and the bed for our child wasn’t in the room. Had to go to reception and ask for it, it was put in very promptly. The bathroom was ok but the bath tub was disgusting and had dirt or dust in it. The kitchen ceiling was falling down, the choice of glass wear was very limited as there was one only tall glass. The oven was also disgusting hadn’t been cleaned out and had crumbs all through it. The bed was uncomfortable and the mattress needs replacing. I wouldn’t hang my clothes in the cupboard as god knows what or how dirty it is. Holes in the walls that haven’t been repaired well and blinds that have slats missing. This is the worst place I have stayed at in Brisbane. The only other positive is it’s close to the stadium and station.

The apartment was clean but it is a very aged spaced. A few coats of paint and some basic renovations could freshen up the place and give it a more modern appeal. It provided what we needed for our 3 night stay while being there for magic round. Bonus is that it is a 15 min walk to the stadium. If you’re looking for anything fancy, this is not the place. But if you want affordable and clean then this will do the job.

Central Gem
Abbey on Roma is so central to attending Suncorp stadium. When arriving by plane un Brisbane, use the air train to Roma St & you have just 100m to walk to the hotel. The kitchenette is useful for longer stays but the property is close to dining, hotels & the CBD.

Helpful staff, well appointed room, although noise level inside the rooms (kitchen & bathroom constant exhaust noise) was annoying. But my main concern was the aluminium bedroom window which wasn't even locked. It could be slid open. Nothing to stop you falling 12 floors. Might need to address that for your safety standards, I think.
