The hotel staff were amazingly welcoming and friendly. Rooms were fantastic and had all the little touches that meant you had everything that you needed, where you needed it. Absolutely would recommend. We had an event here and the staff looked after us well all night. The only draw back was breakfast the next morning was a bit chaotic, slow service and underwhelming for something that cost £25 to add onto the room price.

Nice hotel but noise proofing between rooms poor.
Nice hotel with comfortable and spacious room. Pleasantly decorated. Noise proofing not good though, could hear the resident in the room above walking across the floor as the floor boards creaked and could even hear him snoring in the night! Staff were pleasant and food in the pub was excellent.

Good reception, room (34) was clean and spacious, great shower in the ensuite bathroom. Wifi at premises was okay. There is a pub attached to the hotel where you can get food and drink. There is a nice touch in the room where you can get fresh milk in your room from the bar of the pub (would have been better if told this by the person at the reception).

Good for location but not for sleep
For me this place serves a purpose for staying in that particular area. But sadly the rooms are quite dark & cold without having the heating on constantly. The bed is quite soft and the cushion headboard bangs against the wall with any movement. I was on the ground floor and the walls/floor are just too thin, I was woken up when I went to sleep from the person above walking around then again at 5am when they were up. We ate in the attached Pub restaurant, I think they were overwhelmed with customers so service was so so slow. Dinner was good, but breakfast of Smoked Salmon & Eggs was very dry. Overall not somewhere il come back to.

Nice comfortable room, everything you need, only issue was you could hear the road noise even though it was set well away from the road, this was due to the old windows

Extremely helpful check in process which allowed us to check in early and get our keys as we had a wedding to attend. Clean and well appointed room. Good breakfast. Would stay again if in the area
