Staff were most helpful and professional and pleasant both at Reception and at Breakfast and when we ate in the Bar. Our assigned room smelled of vaping and we were allocated another room but it had a view of weeds and an unattractive fence from a basement perspective. The room was not cleaned on day 2 despite my confirmation to Reception that I should like that . So my general impression is one of disappointment

Great setting, lovely scenery on the drive in with plenty of ducks and squirrels mixed in with the golfers. Only downside not enough bar staff on, the wait to be served averaged approx 10 minutes

I really want to give this hotel 5 stars as the property, the staff and the restaurant were amazing. However, the mattress was horrible, the actual mattress was super hard and the comforter and sheets didn’t fit the mattress properly and we’re super uncomfortable.

Very impressive and full of character
Lovely hotel, very impressive entrance as you drive down and through the archway that takes you back in time as if you are entering a castle. Room was more modern, spacious and clean, we were overlooking part of the golf course, and the biggest tv I think we have ever had in a hotel room. The lobby area again takes you back in time, the juice and welsh cakes were a lovely welcoming idea to help yourself to. We didnt eat in the restaurant but im sure the atmosphere wouldnt have been a disappointment, We didnt use the Spa as the jacuzzi was being repaired, would definitely go back and next time use more of the facilities
