"Okay , yes the floors creak and its a bit old but the management and staff are fabulous. The hotel has a very welcoming feel about it . The food and beverages were reasonable priced and the breakfast and the three dinners I had were excellent quality and very tasty. My room was very clean upon arrival , my bed sadly was very hard and uncomfortable but you don't go to such a scenic area to snooze it all away. I will definitely return.,"

I expected a small room with single bed but was delighted to have a large double bed. ensuit was rather small but that didnt bother me. Loads of hot water and big fluffy soft towels. "No frills lodging. It's an older building, and it is showing it's age, but it's sufficient for a night or two. Big tub in the bathroom. Rooms are warm (It's Oct and cold!). Good accommodations for the price. Make sure you check your email ahead of time for the key box code, or you will have to call from the unstaffed reception. Free coffee and snacks at breakfast. "

"The room was recently refurbished, so was lovely with fresh white paint. The Highland Fine Soaps toiletries were a nice touch. However, the housekeeping was a little confusing. We stayed 3 nights. Our bed was not made after the first night but was after the second. Mugs were cleaned, but tea bags not replenished - these were easily obtained from reception. Reception were slways helpful and friendly. The BIG disappointment was the cooked breakfast. Everything had clearly been cooked hours before...
