"I loved Lanterne Magiche Ortigia. The staff were patient and kind and gave me advice for exploring Siracusa. If you need a taxi to the train station, they’ll book one for you! My suite was comfortable and clean, and I enjoyed the rooftop terrace on several evenings."

"This property is wonderfully situated near the tip of Ortigia overlooking the water in the back. Easy walk to restaurants and shopping. The property lives up to it's name - full of character and quirky spaces - indoors and on the multiple terraces. The breakfast was very good. Driving guests need to use the valet service which requires an hour lead time to access the car. But that wasn't an issue for us. We really liked this place. "

"We enjoyed our stay here. It was easy to park next to the hotel (free parking in 1 car park) and we were able to walk to the restaurants and shops. There was a nice view of the old town from our room and breakfast was excellent. "

"My boyfriend and I had the most wonderful 3-night stay at Palazzo Gilistro in June. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was fab and house keeping did such a beautiful job every day. Breakfast was delicious. Palazzo Gilistro is in the perfect central location, just a few minutes walk from the Cathedral of Syracuse with an abudance of restaurants, shops and bars all in walking distance. Despite it being in the centre of town, our room was up high above the hustle and bustle and was lovely and quiet for bed time! If we had one suggestion, It would be to make better use of the great communal roof terrace - a bar up there would be perfect! We will definitely recommend Palazzo Gilistro to our friends and family and would love to return one day! "
